Why CASSummit 2025 is a Must for Instructors
The 2025 Cardiac Arrest Survival Summit (CASSummit) is shaping up to be one of the most impactful programs to date. This year’s call for presentations brought in more than 200 submissions, the most in Summit history. With over 100 concurrent sessions on the agenda, registration is already outpacing previous years. The American Heart Association is proud to be a Platinum sponsor of CASSummit 2025.
For Instructors and educators, this year’s content offers more than information. It provides tools and context for teaching what is new, what is changing, and how it applies to real learning environments, especially considering the upcoming release of the 2025 AHA ECC & CPR Guidelines on October 22.
Hearing about Guidelines changes, learning their details, and truly understanding their implications are fundamentally different experiences. Even more challenging is the work of translating the Guidelines into effective education and clinical practice that can save lives.
This critical gap is where CASSummit makes its unique impact. It helps bridge the divide between knowledge and action, empowering both healthcare providers and the communities they serve. The program is designed to help Instructors translate updated science into clear, confident instruction. It focuses on what is most relevant now, and how that knowledge can be applied in classrooms, clinics and communities.
Get Ready to Teach the New AHA Guidelines
The American Heart Association is leading three pre-conference workshops on Wednesday, Dec. 3, focused on the new 2025 AHA Guidelines. Each session is led by experts who helped review the science and shaped the new Guidelines. They are designed to prepare Instructors to teach and apply the updates with confidence.

| Teen Dancer Survives Cardiac Arrest on Stage, Returns to Inspire Worldwide
Noelle Hunter, a passionate dancer from Chadds Ford, Pennsylvania, experienced a life-altering moment during a performance at age 17. As she took the stage with her team, she felt unusually off-balance and disconnected from her body. Moments into the routine, she collapsed, her heart having stopped due to sudden cardiac arrest. Thanks to quick action from audience members using CPR and an AED, she was revived and rushed to the hospital. There, she was diagnosed with long QT syndrome, a rare genetic heart condition that had gone undetected her entire life. The diagnosis brought uncertainty about her future in dance, but Hunter remained determined.
Despite a difficult recovery involving surgery, medication, and physical setbacks, Hunter slowly returned to the studio, starting with simple stretches and gradually rebuilding her strength. Her resilience paid off—she rejoined her team for their final performance and later earned a spot with HEART Global , a group that teaches dance to youth worldwide. Now performing and teaching in Japan, Hunter shares her love of dance and her story of perseverance, hoping to inspire others. Her journey is a powerful reminder of the strength found in passion and determination. Access the full story to learn more about Noelle’s inspiring comeback and global impact through dance. |
