We are Thankful for you.

November has been a super busy month as we navigated the changes in authorized AHA distributors.  We are thankful for your patience with all the emails and thankful for the work that you do teaching lifesaving skills.

How to purchase AHA materials

There is now only 1 official distributor of AHA materials, ShopCPR.  However there are other sites that also sell AHA materials.  You can purchase your AHA books, eBooks, and course links wherever you want.  But here is some information on different vendor options and a bit of a summation of all the emails over the past few weeks.

On November 7th the AHA canceled the authorized distributor agreement with WorldPoint with no notice. As an Entrepreneurial or External Training Center, at that time we could only purchase eCards from WorldPoint. This left us out in the dark for just over 24 hours.  On November 8th we were able to set up our ShopCPR account to resume purchasing eCards.

eCards can only be purchased from ShopCPR by Authorized Training Centers with a security code.  Training Sites and Instructors then purchase their eCards from their Training Center.

Different vendors have different discounts and costs.  Here is what we have set up at the Training Center.

ShopCPR is where we are purchasing our eCards and the bulk of our AHA materials.  They sell some other training materials, but only AHA branded supplies.  So you cannot buy manikin lungs and whatnot from them.  We have an organizational account that you can be linked to to receive our discount which is 5% off all AHA branded materials except for Heartcode (books, eBooks, etc.) and 20% off Heartcode BLS keycodes.  We currently do not receive any discounts for Heartcode ACLS and Heartcode PALS, which may change next year when they re-evaluate our purchase history.  They do not offer any discounted shipping. https://shopcpr.heart.org/
*** See important information below on setting up your ShopCPR account ***

WorldPoint is still selling training supplies, just not AHA materials or Prestan products.  They are re-organizing, lowering prices, and are offering us up to 12% off our purchases.  There is free shipping for orders over $100.  Our account rep suggested we call them for quotes if we don’t see the discount on their website and they’ll see what they can do for us.    https://www.worldpoint.com/

AED Superstore has AHA materials.  I’ve had 2 conversations with our account rep and since we don’t historically buy a lot from them our discount is probably less than 10%. They do not have free shipping.  You can call them (or ask me to set up an intro) to find out who your regional account rep is to set up an account with them. https://www.aedsuperstore.com/

MCR Medical is the Authorized Prestan distributor and they have rather good prices.  They also have free shipping.  They often have specials on face shields and training valves.  They also occasionally post their demo equipment list – this list has all the equipment they have used at tables and booths and then they sell the equipment at a discounted price. https://www.mcrmedical.com/

WNL Products is where all the Practi products originate, like the Practi-AED Trainer.  They sell their own line of supplies and also First Aid training supplies. Their prices are pretty reasonable and they have free shipping for orders over $50.  https://www.wnlproducts.com/

There may also be other vendors that carry the supplies that we all need to purchase.  Please feel free to let us know of any other vendors we can purchase from and share with our instructors.

How to Guide on setting up your ShopCPR account

Go to ShopCPR.heart.org to create your account.  If you have a separate person in your organization who does your purchasing, they should be the one to create the account.  (If you’re not sure and need help please email or call me.)

When setting up the account:

  • You will be asked if you have a TC ID # immediately upon set-up; use NH20943
  • Enter your business name, address, billing info,  etc.
  • Any organization that is tax exempt should provide ShopCPR with a copy of their tax exemption certificate.
  • At the end of setting up their account, you will be asked if you have a Purchase Code – this is for Training Central. If you (or your organization)  has a Training Central account, you should enter your Training Central Purchase Code in this field. Your Purchase Code has recently changed and can be found in Training Central > Products > Order Products.

IMPORTANT:  Once you have set up your ShopCPR account you must notify us.  We then have to contact our ShopCPR rep to finalize adding you to our organizational account.  You will NOT receive any of our discounts if we do not add you.  To not overwhelm our rep, we are sending in a list weekly on Wednesdays.  Please notify us no later than noon on Wednesday to be added to the list for that week.  We will only be adding existing Training Sites and Instructors to our organizational account through December 18th.  After that we will only be updating our organizational instructor list with ShopCPR monthly.

Please let us know if you have any questions!  We’re here to help you navigate a lot of these changes.

Thank you all for all that you do!
