Happy Boxing Day!  Whether you’re celebrating Christmas, Hanukkah, Kwanzaa, Festivus, or another Holiday, we hope you’re having a relaxing and safe Holiday Season!

Wrapping up 2024

Please turn in all December 2024 rosters sooner rather than later.  As a reminder all rosters are due to the Training Center no later than 5 days after a class unless we’ve set up another system for you (Dropbox, email, Training Site, etc.).

If you submit your rosters directly to the Training Center, please submit your rosters no later than Monday 1/6/2025.

If you submit your rosters monthly, please upload them no later than 1/21/2025.

We run year-end statistics and need to receive all rosters in a timely manner so that our data is accurate.

If you provided a Family and Friends class or Hands Only CPR training please let us know where, when, and how many people attended.  We are helping to track non-card training for the AHA’s Community CPR Tracker.

Purchasing eCards and submitting rosters to the Training Center

If you submit your rosters directly to the Training Center, we have switched over to My TA System.  If you have not received an email invite to set up your account please let us know.  eCards will also be purchased through My TA System.

Instructors aligned with a Training Site will follow the procedure set up by their Training Site for submitting rosters and purchasing eCards.  Please contact your Training Site Coordinator if you have any questions.

Secondary or Additional Alignments

With Atlas Instructors can now have multiple alignments.

If Coastal CPR and First Aid is your only alignment, most of you will see 2 listings under your Alignments in Atlas; one for BLS and one for Heartsaver.  If you are only a Heartsaver Instructor you’ll see just 1.

If you are also aligned with a Training Site under Coastal CPR and First Aid, LLC, you’ll also see alignments to the Training Site for each of your disciplines.

Several instructors are also aligned with other Training Centers and Training Sites; either as an additional (used to be called secondary) alignment, or we are your additional alignment.

While Instructors can have as many additional alignments as they want or need, their Primary Alignment is the Training Center or Training Site that has issued your Instructor Card and is responsible to the AHA for the quality of all classes taught.  Your Primary Alignment may also need to track how many classes you teach for your other alignment.

If you have your Primary alignment with Coastal CPR and First Aid, LLC and have additional alignments with other Training Centers or Training Sites you need to notify us of them.  Please email Gail at gail@coastalcpr.com.

Looking ahead to 2025!

Guidelines 2025 will be released on 10/22/25.  We’ll have 90 days to transition to the new AHA BLS and Heartsaver Instructor Materials.  We all know the price will go up when they are released so plan your budget accordingly.

Heartcode course links will have a price increase in February.  We currently have a 20% discount on Heartcode BLS links.  We do not have a discount on Heartcode ACLS or Heartcode PALS.

All instructors or organizations should have created accounts with ShopCPR to purchase AHA materials.  If you have a ShopCPR account and are not seeing any discounts on your account please contact us to have your account linked to ours to receive our Training Center discount.

We’re working on some new things for 2025 at the Training Center!  This includes an ACLS Instructor Course, a Stop the Bleed license, increasing our Community Events, and setting up a more streamlined website to make it easier for Instructors to find information, links, and updates.

We’re hoping to save more lives with training in 2025!  If you know of a course participant who has used their skills please let us know.  The AHA has the Heartsaver Hero Award and we’ve been honored to submit several course participants for this award over the past year.
