June 2026 Instructor Newsletter
Welcome Summer! This newsletter covers the annual AHA Price Increase, Heartsaver Bundles and other digital products, roster reminders, how to use the AHA Seals, graphics and images correctly, and reminders.
2026 AHA Price Increase
The AHA annual price increase will go into effect on July 1, 2026. We are not increasing the cost of AHA eCards. The price increase for eCards is minimal and we did just raise them last year (after not increasing them for about 5 years). Prices are listed in Atlas at https://cpr.heart.org/en/-/media/CPR2-Files/Private/CPRandECCRetailMaterialsListEffective712026v4.pdf?sc_lang=en
Training Sites and training organizations that are linked to our ShopCPR account will see a change in our discount levels.
- We are currently maxxed out for Heartsaver materials – meaning we have the top tier discount and will not see any additional discounts for Heartsaver products.
- The discount levels for Heartcode BLS keep moving. We did not purchase enough to keep the same level and this discount will drop to 20%.
- We did not purchase enough Heartcode ACLS or Heartcode PALS to have any discounts on these products. We will do another review on this in January.
- It does seem that they have a new “non-Heartcode” category that is not Heartsaver (read – lets make this as confusing as possible) which basically means all BLS products. That discount is increasing slightly.
The Training Center does resell AHA digital products leveraging our discount so that instructors who are not linked to our ShopCPR account can also realize savings. Products are linked for sale in our Instructor Portal. The order form will be updated with new prices on June 30th.
The Instructor Portal is fixed!
While it took longer than anticipated, access to the Instructor Portal has been fixed. Turns out the issue was on the webhost side which took a little longer to figure out. We strongly recommend all instructors create an account in the Instructor Portal. This will give you access to an archive of newsletters, ECC Beat newsletters, AHA Updates, links to submit rosters and purchase eCards and other items, and we’re now adding upcoming AHA webinars and past webinar recording links. There is also an entire page outlining the steps for Instructor renewals.
Heartsaver Bundles and AHA Products can be purchased through our Instructor Portal
Did you know that you can purchase online course links (BLS & Heartsaver) as well as Heartsaver Bundles through the Training Center? Heartsaver bundles include an eCard and can only be purchased by AHA Training Centers, but we can resell them to our Training Sites and Instructors.
We are using our Training Center discount with ShopCPR to be able to offer these at a lower cost to our instructors. If you are offering Blended Learning courses or use eBooks, purchasing Heartcode links, or Heartsaver Bundles can save you on the cost. Heartsaver Digital Bundles are an eBook and eCard for the cost of an eCard, so the eBooks is free. Heartsaver Blended Learning Bundles are an eLearning link (which includes an eBook) and an eCard for less than the cost of each one purchased individually.
Here are the direct links to purchase Heartcode BLS and Heartsaver Bundles:

- Heartsaver Blended Learning Bundles (eCard, eBook, and eLearning link): https://pci.jotform.com/form/251366870020148
Also available for sale in the Instructor Portal are Instructor Bundles (Instructor manual, course videos, and a provider manual or student workbook). If a purchase includes a physical item, a shipping fee will be included.
Roster reminders and some roster Q&A.
If you had bookmarked the links to submit rosters and have found that they are not working – that is because we have updated the online form link to the new 2025 AHA rosters. Please go the Instructor Portal to access the new submission links.
The new roster forms have 2 upload boxes for uploading scanned or digital rosters and all supporting paperwork for a roster. Supporting paperwork includes course completion certificates, exam sheets (if not entered into the form), and skills sheets.
Do you need to submit skills testing checklists for all students? According to the PAM you might not need to. If the students pass on the first attempt, we do not need to collect their skills testing checklists. If you need to remediate them on skills, then you must include their skills testing checklists for both the first attempt and the second.
How do I submit exam sheets or rosters if I don’t own a scanner? The roster upload form will accept image files. You take a picture of the exam sheet, skills testing checklists, or roster with your phone and upload it. There are also scanning apps for iOS and Android. While you can submit a digital roster, digitally altered exam sheets (instructor filling it out based on student paper exam sheets) would not pass an AHA Audit and cannot be accepted. It’s also important to note that if you reuse the same digital files for skills sheets and rosters, you must update and resave them under a new name. Otherwise, we’ll have skills sheets with names that don’t match the names on the roster.
When we have questions or aren’t sure about how to issue eCards for a roster, we’ll email you. Please reply promptly. Delayed responses mean delayed eCards to your students.
How to use the AHA Seals, logo, and trademarked name
The AHA has tasked Training Centers with policing use of their logo, images, and name. Instructors and Training Sites cannot use AHA logos or image files lifted off any AHA website. You are only allowed to use the official AHA Seals. The AHA Seals can be found in Atlas under Tools and Resources, along with a PDF Guide outline what is and what is not allowed.
If you use the Aligned Training Site or Aligned Instructor Seals, you must attribute the Training Center with it. This is the most common error we see. This means that below the official seal you must include the text “Aligned with Coastal CPR and First Aid in Hampton, NH USA”.
When posting or advertising AHA classes be careful not to imply that the course you are offering is offered by the AHA. It’s offered by you, the aligned Instructor or Training Site. We provide or teach AHA courses, we are not employed by the AHA.
Tips and reminders
We forward the AHA ECC Beat Newsletter when each issue comes out. We had been forwarding it as an email. It turns out that when we did that, if someone clicked unsubscribe on the forwarded email, it was unsubscribing the Training Center. Going forward we will be sending the ECC Beat as a PDF attachment.
I know it’s summer, but school will be starting soon! Depending upon where you are in the US, school starts in August or September. This is a great time to reach out to the local schools in your area to schedule staff training before school starts. Most high school and colleges will also start fall sports pre-season training in July and August. Coaching staff also need training.
If you use the wrong roster form or make a mistake on class type or eCard type on a roster, please contact us ASAP. Some eCard mistakes can only be corrected by TCC or TSC, and some cannot be corrected at all. When errors cannot be corrected a new eCard must be issued, the instructor or TS will have to purchase a new eCard, and we must contact the AHA to revoke the incorrect eCard. Timely notification is key to catching errors before they are made.
Questions? Let us know! Thank you for all that you do!
